Research Associate - Chemistry

Conduct fundamental electrochemical research on electrodes and aptamer-based sensors within an ARC Laureate project led by Scientia Professor Justin Gooding. Duties include designing and supervising experiments, analysing results, preparing publications and research proposals, and supporting PhD and honours researchers. The project considers how the sensors can progress toward commercial use. The appointment is full-time for 12 months, at AUD 118,000–126,000 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.

Applicants need a PhD specialising in electrochemistry, experience with electrochemical measurements and surface characterisation, materials synthesis expertise and evidence of independent research. Apply online with responses to the selection criteria by 9 November 2026.
