Research Technician I - Jazayeri Lab

Neuroscience, Cognition, Brain Imaging and full-time research technician position at Howard Hughes Medical Institute - Jazayeri Lab at MIT

About

The Jazayeri Lab, led by Mehrdad Jazayeri at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT, studies the neural basis of cognition in humans and animal models across systems, computational and cognitive neuroscience, recording and perturbing neural activity as animals perform complex tasks. The Research Technician I divides time roughly equally between non-human primate care and wet-lab work: daily husbandry and welfare monitoring of monkeys, behavioral observation, training and data collection, assisting with surgeries and peri-operative care, supporting MRI procedures, preparing and sterilizing lab materials, maintaining equipment, supporting safety compliance and recording experimental data.

The role is designed for 2-3 years of research experience before graduate or professional school. Full-time, Cambridge, MA. Hiring pay range: USD 19.15-23.94 per hour.
