Abstract

Autism-associated variation ranges from individual genetic changes to the combined influence of many variants. This seminar examines how implicated genes affect synaptic number and function, connecting genetic diversity with brain connectivity. It also considers research conducted with autistic people and families, and how that participation can inform care, education, inclusion and efforts to reduce stigma.
