The DFG invites projects for HALO 2028 under Infrastructure Priority Programme SPP 1294. Funding can run for up to three years from 2028, covering atmospheric and Earth system research connected to upcoming HALO aircraft missions or data from previous missions. Themes include aerosols, clouds, precipitation, atmospheric transport, chemical composition and coupling processes. Develop crystallization and precipitation processes for peptide biopharmaceuticals in Leif-Thore Deck’s group. The doctorate combines litre-scale experimental systems, particle characterization, image-based process monitoring and automation with modelling and microfluidic insights. Research includes downstream separation and redissolution to connect particle formation with practical pharmaceutical processing. The four-year appointment offers TVöD E13 remuneration at 75% and an immediate or agreed start. Applications remain open until filled.
