Introduction to multi-omics data integration and visualisation
Bio-Informatics, Biology and workshop by Ajay Mishra, Denes Turei and Tamas Korcsmaros
About
Practical training in integrating multiple molecular datasets, aimed at biologists and beginning computational researchers. The programme covers curation, identifier mapping, quality control, visualisation and data- or knowledge-driven integration using Cytoscape, MOFA, COSMOS and OmniPath. Small-group projects apply the tools to a defined biological question and culminate in presentations. The course does not cover systems-biology modelling or machine learning. Basic Unix, Python and R familiarity is needed for some practicals. Teaching runs over five days in GMT, beginning with introductions at 11:30 on 8 March and ending at 14:30 on 12 March. Selection is competitive for 30 places. Fees are £975 for academia and £1,275 for industry, including four nights’ accommodation and programme catering. Applications close at 23:59 UK time on 22 November 2026; decisions are expected by 15 December.
