About

Fund pilot studies and early research addressing public-health priorities, including infectious disease, AI diagnostics, digital health, cancer, maternal health, mental health and healthy ageing. Proposals should generate evidence useful for health policy and practice. Submit the English EOI, budget and investigator CVs together as one PDF by 2 October 2026, 18:00 EAT. Covers: Up to USD 10,000 per project for at most 18 months: direct research costs including protocols, ethics, data collection and management, community engagement and technical support. No overheads, institutional administration or continuation funding.

Host location: Worldwide

The call explicitly permits applicants and implementation worldwide, including outside Uganda.
