About
Four-year doctoral training combines theoretical and systems neuroscience with machine learning. Initial coursework is followed by a supervised thesis and a complementary research rotation. Studentships cover home or international tuition, a tax-free stipend and conference travel. Applications close at 17:00 GMT on 9 November 2026, with references due by 23:59 GMT on 10 November.

Covers: Tuition fees, stipend and conference travel for doctoral training; published 2026/27 stipend £30,900 annually.
Study at UCL in London, United Kingdom.
Nationality or residence: All nationalities eligible for funding.
A relevant first degree, strong mathematical and analytical preparation, and interest in neuroscience or machine learning. UCL admissions and English Level 3 requirements apply. Funding is available regardless of nationality.
