Assistant Professor in Chemistry – Physical Sciences

The Physical Sciences Department of the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at the University of Washington Bothell seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Chemistry who will teach in the organic chemistry series and across the undergraduate chemistry curriculum, develop new courses and build an extramurally funded research programme that meaningfully engages undergraduate students, through in-house work and external collaborations.

Research expertise in organic chemistry broadly defined is sought, including synthesis, catalysis, natural products, physical organic chemistry, environmental/green organic chemistry, materials chemistry and medicinal chemistry. The nine-month appointment has a three-year renewable term beginning 16 September 2027 with a base salary of $11,444-$12,046 per month ($102,996-$108,414 annually).
