Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Electrophysiology and full-time executive scientific leadership position at Allen Institute
About
The Neural Dynamics accelerator at the Allen Institute studies how the brain generates flexible behavior. Reporting to the Institute's President and CEO, the Executive Vice President and Co-Director co-leads its scientific vision and long-range strategic plan and is the single point of accountability for people, administration and operations. The research agenda spans how cell groups form circuits that generate cognition and behavior; cell-type-specific monitoring and manipulation of spiking with tools such as Neuropixels probes; brain-wide connectivity between defined cell types; optical measurement and control of brain function; computational models of circuit function; and an open, reproducible data platform.
The role mentors group leads, postdocs and early-career scientists and co-leads program management with the Operations Lead. Relocation assistance is offered and work-visa sponsorship may be offered. Annualized salary range USD 349,950-519,750. Seattle, WA.
