PhD Candidate in Electrochemistry

PhD position in electrochemistry at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, NTNU, affiliated with HYDROGENi, a Centre for Environment-friendly Energy Research funded by the Research Council of Norway and energy and industry companies. The primary objective is to establish analysis tools for the performance and degradation of electrocatalyst layers for alkaline electrolyte membrane water electrolysis, using state-of-the-art equipment for manufacture and in situ characterisation of performance and degradation processes.

The candidate joins the centre's network of PhD students and industry partners and its summer and winter schools; the degree is completed in three years, or four including teaching duties.

Background in experimental electrochemistry and nanotechnology; experience with cell assembly and operation of single-cell test stations; admission to the faculty doctoral programme.
