About

The Li Lab in the Prostate Cancer Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center dissects the molecular and cellular mechanisms of prostate cancer progression and therapy resistance. The lab integrates CRISPR-based functional genomics (genome-wide and custom screening libraries), epigenetic profiling including DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation (5mC/5hmC), next-generation sequencing, chemical biology and in vivo mouse models to identify and characterise therapeutic targets, including regulators of androgen receptor signalling, and to combine genetic, epigenetic and small-molecule perturbations to uncover actionable vulnerabilities in aggressive prostate cancer.

The fellow leads independent, translational projects, develops high-throughput CRISPR screening strategies and can co-mentor with neighbouring Nelson and Haffner labs.

Requirements

PhD (or equivalent) in cancer biology, cell biology, genetics or a related field; strong foundation in molecular and cell biology; strong written and oral communication; self-motivated and collaborative. Preferred: experience with CRISPR technologies (screening, base editing or prime editing) and a background in cell signalling or gene regulation.
