Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the Landscape Multifunctionality of Grasslands

Three-year postdoctoral position at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Bergen, within a large international, interdisciplinary Horizon Europe team. The postdoc will use spatial modelling to investigate how grassland management practices affect the ecosystem-service multifunctionality of European agricultural landscapes, building a spatially explicit farm-scale multifunctionality model parameterised with open remote-sensing data, ecological plot-level data and social-science data, including the Multi-Actor Grassland Hubs (MagHubs) of the GrassConnect consortium.

Simulations will examine how management practices change biodiversity and multiple ecosystem services, how those changes affect grassland stakeholders, and which strategies improve multifunctionality. Gross salary NOK 685,900 (code 1352).

Doctoral degree in ecology, geospatial analysis, ecosystem services, agronomy or another relevant field (or thesis submitted by the deadline).
