Two Assistant Professor (postdoc) posts: neuropsychophysiology of figurative language comprehension in schizophrenia

The Department of Clinical Psychology at the Jagiellonian University's Institute of Psychology is recruiting two research-staff assistant professors for the NCN OPUS 21 project "In search of the neuropsychophysiological underpinnings of impaired figurative language comprehension in schizophrenia: on the role of the salience gradability of meanings – behavioral, EEG, and MRI study". The postdocs will carry out statistical analysis of behavioural, EEG and MRI data, interpret results, prepare publications and conference presentations, present results at scientific meetings and take part in research team meetings.

Full-time employment contracts for 6 months with possible extension from January 2027, with basic pay of PLN 7,300–7,703 gross per month plus seniority allowance (selection procedure 1227.1101.250.2026).

PhD in psychology or a related field (psychiatry, medical biology or similar) awarded no more than 7 years before applying; NCN post-doc requirements; experience in clinical psychological and/or neuroimaging experimental research; EEG or fMRI statistical analysis documented in the thesis or papers; peer-reviewed publications including JCR-indexed journals; international conference presentations; fluent English.
