107th AMS Annual Meeting
Denver, United States · Hybrid
The annual meeting brings together research on weather, climate, hydrology, oceans and related environmental systems. Its conferences and symposia cover atmospheric chemistry, climate variability, observing systems, satellite measurements, modelling and communication of scientific information. The 2027 theme emphasizes education and the use of Earth-system knowledge by people and communities. Scientific sessions, professional exchanges and short courses are offered alongside in-person and online participation.
Jan 10–14, 2027
The tenth national and first international Ocean Society of India conference brings ocean, atmospheric and Earth scientists together around research and applications. Topics span physical, chemical and biological oceanography, marine geology and geophysics, ocean–atmosphere interactions, engineering, marine microbiology, the blue economy, bioinformatics, satellite and in-situ observations, modeling, changing monsoons, polar regions and renewable energy. Plenary lectures, contributed research and early-career and interdisciplinary sessions connect scientific advances to societal needs.

AMOS 2027
Melbourne, Australia
The society’s 33rd conference presents research on weather, oceans and climate, from fundamental processes to applications in forecasting, infrastructure, agriculture, health and ecosystems. Sessions cover extreme and compound events, hydroclimate, polar systems, ocean and coastal processes, atmospheric composition, climate variability, high-resolution modelling and machine learning. A second stream examines warning services, adaptation, Indigenous knowledge, education and the use of science in industry and policy. Workshops take place on 8 February, followed by conference proceedings on 9–12 February. Abstract submissions closed on 6 September 2026. Presenters must register by 1 December, which is also the end of the early-bird discount.

ASLO 2027 Aquatic Sciences Meeting
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The Aquatic Sciences Meeting connects freshwater and ocean researchers around the theme Waterscapes Under Pressure: Drivers and Opportunities. The meeting runs 28 February–5 March 2027 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The abstract deadline has been extended to 21 September 2026; early registration ends 1 December 2026.

March 2027
Polar Marine Science
Oxnard, United States
The meeting examines disputed and unresolved questions about rapidly changing Arctic and Southern oceans. It brings circulation, ecology and biogeochemistry together to consider sea-ice loss, freshwater inputs, deep-water formation, primary production and climate-active aerosols. Sessions emphasize why these processes remain difficult to measure and explain, including feedbacks on planetary reflectivity and atmospheric composition. Comparisons with ancient ice-covered oceans and oceans on other worlds broaden the discussion. Attendance requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or an accepted equivalent. Applications are subject to selection and available capacity.

Chemical Oceanography
Manchester, United States
The conference organizes ocean chemistry around inventories, exchange rates and reaction mechanisms. It considers carbon, nutrients, trace elements and organic compounds in seawater, sediments and coastal margins, connecting molecular processes with basin-scale transport. Researchers will discuss autonomous measurements, isotope and molecular methods, long observational records, and the challenges that ocean change and proposed interventions pose for assumptions of steady state. Attendance requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or an accepted equivalent. Applications are subject to selection and available capacity.
