About
Support recruitment or retention of outstanding established biomedical investigators in Denmark. Funding of up to DKK 60 million over seven years enables an ambitious research programme and collaboration across disciplines or countries. Applicants must have led an independent programme for at least seven years and commit at least 75% of a full-time position to the Danish host. The first-stage application, including host support, is due 27 October 2026 at 2 p.m. Copenhagen time. The February 2027 full-proposal stage is by invitation.

Host location: Denmark
Danish host institution and at least 75% on-site commitment. Recruitment from abroad and retention in Denmark are supported.
Nationality or residence: Any nationality.

Principal investigators who have led an independent research programme for at least seven years; at least 75% on-site commitment to a Danish host and the principal group established there within two years. NNF review-panel members and Novo Group employees are excluded; overlapping NNF investigator-grant rules apply.
