PhD Research Fellow in Probability theory

PhD research fellowship in probability theory at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bergen, for three years with a possible fourth year depending on qualifications. The PhD project addresses fundamental questions about stochastic processes on networks, focusing on models with long-range dependence and interactions in space and/or time. The fellow joins an internationally connected research environment linked to the European research network mSpace, which gives access to workshops, training schools and research visits at partner institutions across Europe.

Salary NOK 593,700 per year (code 1017).

Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, applied mathematics or statistics (master's students may apply if they complete their final exam before 1 March 2027).
