About
Three-year doctoral employment investigating microbial secondary metabolites as biofungicides. Combine chromatography, LC-MS, MALDI imaging and NMR with genome mining, microbial engineering and biosynthesis. The Sino-Danish Centre-supported project includes a required research stay at the Beijing Institute of Genomics and awards a double degree from DTU and UCAS. Start is early 2027 and no later than 1 April. Applications close on 31 October 2026 at 23:59 Danish time.
Requirements
Two-year master’s degree worth 120 ECTS or equivalent; strong natural-product chemistry and biosynthesis background; and good English. Relevant analytical, genome-mining or strain-engineering experience is advantageous. Submit one English PDF with cover letter, CV, bachelor’s/master’s diplomas, transcripts, grading-scale explanation and two referee contacts. Applicants completing their master’s may apply but must finish before starting.
