About
The Kugel Laboratory at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center investigates how dysregulation of chromatin-modifying enzymes and developmental pathways contributes to pancreatic and biliary cancer pathogenesis, and whether these pathways shape the tumour microenvironment and create liabilities that can be exploited therapeutically. The fellow generates and uses cancer model systems, including genetically engineered mouse models, patient-derived xenografts and new human cancer cell lines, applying murine genetics, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, metabolism, RNA profiling, proteomics, pharmacology, genomics and computational biology.
The hourly pay range is $35.55-$45.68, and fellows are supported in applying for external fellowships.
Requirements
Recently obtained PhD and/or MD, or near completion of graduate studies, with an interest in cancer research; strong written and verbal communication. Preferred: productive research record and expertise in tumour immunology, RNA biology, biochemistry, cell biology, cancer genomics, murine models or computational biology. Apply with a CV, a one- to two-page summary of past research and future goals, and three references.
