The European College of Neuropsychopharmacology connects fundamental brain research with psychiatric and neurological treatment through keynote and plenary lectures, scientific symposia, educational updates, discussions and posters. The programme examines how mechanisms at molecular, circuit and social levels can inform interventions for brain disorders. Kay M. Tye (Salk Institute) addresses neural regulation of social homeostasis. Ian Maze (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai) examines protein monoaminylation in development, plasticity and disease. Oliver Howes (King’s College London) considers routes to new psychiatric medicines using schizophrenia research. Frank Winkler (University of Heidelberg and German Cancer Research Centre) discusses malignant brain networks. Julia Sacher (Max Planck Institute and Leipzig University) examines hormonal transitions and women’s brain health using longitudinal and multimodal imaging. Lukoye Atwoli (Aga Khan University) connects social context with mental-health biology, while Lucia Valmaggia (University of Melbourne) examines virtual reality for youth mental-health assessment and treatment.
