Highlight topics include artificial intelligence, advances in rare diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, advanced therapies, new diagnostic technologies, bioethics, neurogenetics, neuroimaging and epigenetics. The scientific programme comprises plenary and parallel sessions (each parallel session with one invited lecture completed by accepted abstracts), early-morning teaching sessions, free papers and a fully digital ePoster programme with mini-oral presentations, moderated ePoster sessions and a Poster Slam. A Pre-Congress on 6 April 2027, “Brain Metabolism Beyond Inborn Errors of Metabolism”, precedes the main programme (separate registration). The congress expects around 2,000 delegates from more than 60 countries and is aimed at paediatric neurologists, neurodisability specialists, neurophysiologists, child psychiatrists, geneticists, adult neurologists, nurse specialists, neuropsychologists, speech and language therapists and neuroscientists. The opening ceremony and welcome reception are on Tuesday 6 April 2027 at 18:30 CET and the scientific programme starts on Wednesday 7 April. For the first time the congress offers in-person and virtual participation; virtual tickets give access to the livestream of the main hall (Hall 116). The local host society is SENEP, the Spanish Society of Paediatric Neurology; congress chair Carmen Fons.
