About
Four-year Start Package grants that help Danish universities and research institutions recruit top researchers of any nationality and increase mobility across borders, among Danish universities and from industry to academia. The grant accompanies the institution’s offer and funds the recruit’s establishment of an independent research group: up to DKK 5 million for a tenure-track assistant professorship, DKK 8 million for a time-unlimited associate professorship, and DKK 10 million for a full professorship or a clinical or clinical chair professorship. Recruitment is supported in medical sciences, life sciences, sustainability, and natural and technical sciences aligned with the Foundation’s 2030 strategy, including cardiometabolic disease, drug-resistant and respiratory infections, stem cell-based medicine, sustainable food and biomanufacturing, quantum technologies, and fundamental research in areas such as bioscience, systems biology, data science, artificial intelligence, mathematical modelling, materials science and robotics. Results are expected in early March 2027.
